Braveheart

RAIN RAIN

Alright, let’s get this party started—we had a mad BMX weekend! Kicking things off with Saturday: I was up early, hit the gym at 6am, grabbed a coffee by 7am, and then... it absolutely bucketed down. Full write-off for the day. Well, that's what I thought.

I’ve been working on a little video project lately, trying to get it ready for a weeee release—just a reason to get everyone together, have a few drinks, and maybe even hit up Rics with the Weeners and my mate Yonny Shakerfeild.

Anyway, back to Saturday. The weather was a total shit show, so I figured I’d make the most of it. Got home, decided to start trimming the video down a bit—only to realise I’m still a few clips short.

So I’m home editing, and I cut this thing down—pulled out some extra footage I’d been saving and chucked it in. Next minute, a whole new vibe starts building, and I’m seriously hyped on it. It’s turned into something real fresh. Churrr!

SUNDAY FUNDAY

Saturday wasn’t much to write home about—but Sunday? That was the one.

Woke up, had a coffee and a couple of crumpets, then hit the first spot at 11:30am. Met up with the crew, Church was in, and we were like, “yeah, let’s move on.” Next stop: some school not too far away.

Roll in, and it’s cameras out everywhere—full “We Be Filming” mode. Cheeky clips started stacking, the crew kept growing (which can sometimes be a hassle), but today it was all-time. The energy was mad. We gave that school a proper session, then headed into the streets.

Out there, the squad was massive—so big it split into like three different groups. Eventually, we all linked back up at this spot I know. I filmed there back in 2012 and have seen it pop up in vids over the years, but today? We really blew it up.

We locked in, lines were flowing, and everyone had something to film. I was loving it. Honestly needed that session—had a few things getting me down, but BMX came through with the good vibes again. FUCKING CHUUURR

Do the fuck what you want, no one gives a fuck

Spenny Mac was the man I was trying to get clips with, and he kicked things off. Took a minute to sort the speed and setup, but once it clicked, we had it in the bag. Everyone was losing their minds when he landed it—Spenny was pumped, and so were we.

Honestly, I’m a bit fuzzy on the order of how everything went down, but I know Raph killed it. I got my first clip with Kai too—kid's got serious steeze, and I’m keen to film more with him.

Nathan? Player of the match. Not just on the bike either. He rocked up to the session covered in hickeys, so big congrats to our boy for getting a bit of boom boom at home.

It’s hard to explain the feeling, but we rode this one spot for hours, and every single one of us left buzzing. Oh—and the pool! We found this pool, and Raph got proper Raph clips in there.

As the sun went down, the vibes were still peaking. We grabbed some beers and Nando’s, headed back to the shop, and just hung out talking smack with everyone. After an hour or so, I rolled home still hyped—and ended up out at the local bar with the girls for a bit before calling it a night.

Good night. xoxo
