TWO YELLOW, AND A RED

TWO YELLOW, AND A RED

So, it’s Sunday morning. The roads are soaked ‘cause it’s been pissing down, and the BOM reckons there’s more rain on the way. But fuck it—we’re not made of sugar. Let’s hit the streets and see what happens.

I swung by Salt for my usual caramel cappuccino and a chilli scramble, completely forgetting they don’t serve food on Sundays. Bloody stitch-up. Then I realise I’ve left my AirPods back at the apartment—just when I was keen to sip my coffee and blast Outkast – Roses. Maybe today just isn’t the day to be filming…

Fast forward to 10:17am—Millar’s pulled the pin and cops a yellow card for calling a trick and then bailing on it. (I don't make the rules, I just follow them)  I’m booked solid with Suncorp at 2pm and Central Cee at 6pm, so there’s no time to muck around. I bail from Salt and head out to film Renato’s final clips for the Colony DVD.

By 11:11am, we’re in the streets. Raph’s out, cameras rolling. Renato scopes the first spot and gets spooked—yellow card straight up. So, we hit the casino stairs to warm up for a bigger set down the road. Renato gives it a few goes, but it’s clear the weather’s throwing a spanner in the works. It’s a no-go on the big setup. Raph pulls something straight out of the Animal Cuts playbook, and more of the crew link up with us around 12:32.

With the Broncos game about to kick off, I call it there and head home to get ready for the big match—and then roll into Central Cee later on. That’s about all I’ve got from the weekend. Weather was fucking rubbish, and the streets weren’t really vibing. Sorry I can’t give you more of a story—but that’s how it goes sometimes.

Peace out,
