IF IT WAS EASY EVERYONE WOULD BE DOING IT
Welcome to another lovely blog, where I attempt to recap the week’s happenings, only to inevitably get distracted, abandon my homework, and leave it all half-finished.
Here’s how the week played out: I met up with Will Fraser, our mate Nathan (the latest Scottish import to these shores), and a couple of sketchy kids who are mates with Willy. That was the crew—though it felt bigger than it actually was, to be honest.
Now, let’s talk about the ridiculous heatwave we’ve been dealing with here in Brisbane. It’s been brutal, but as they say, the show must go on, and so we be filming.
It’s Friday. The sun’s going down, and we’re out-hitting spots. The first spot, then the second—it’s full dark now, so I go to grab my lights... and guess what? They’re still at home, plugged in, happily charging. FUCK. What a rookie move. I call it and head home, feeling pretty defeated.
The moment I walk through the door, this massive storm rolls in. Like, one of those "sky’s falling" kind of storms. And just like that, Friday’s done and dusted. Classic.

No Dazeee
Saturday was pretty much the same story—unbearably hot. We kicked things off strong at a school we’re all pretty familiar with, but the heat got the best of us. Eventually, we tapped out and headed home, completely wrecked by the weather.
Sunday was game day. The mission? To put together a weekend vibes movie with the one and only Martti, who was dead set on keeping it raw and doing his thing in the streets. So, I made my way down to the Gold Coast, and we got straight to it, setting up shop around Southport.
It was one of those days where everything just clicked. Clip after clip went down—Martti was absolutely in the zone. The energy was solid, and then things got even better when Raph, Spenny, and Dizzie Newman rolled up to join the session. Those guys didn’t waste any time either, jumping in and stacking clips like pros. The whole vibe was electric—everyone was pushing each other, hyping each other up, and feeding off the energy.
By the time we wrapped, it felt like we’d put together something pretty special. The day was hot, the streets were unforgiving, but we got it done. It was just one of those mean-as G days where everything came together.

The day wasn’t over yet, brothers and sisters. The final stretch was a quick skatepark session to round out the video. Nothing too crazy went down—no flairs, which was a bit of a letdown. Just spins, peg chinks, and keeping it simple. Boyd’s over in the States right now watching Supercross, so we didn’t even have anyone around to throw a backflip for the crew. It is what it is, but we made it work.

And that’s about it for this week’s rundown. Honestly, it was one of those weeks where you go through the shit, learn a thing or two, and come out the other side a little wiser—or at least that’s what my mate Yonny would say. Every day had its fair share of chaos, heat, and random moments, but that’s just how this game goes, isn’t it?
We battled the fucking heat, got some decent clips, shared a bunch of laughs, and somehow made it all work. Sure, it wasn’t all smooth sailing—things rarely are—but that’s part of the fun. You take the wins, eat the losses, and keep pushing forward. So yeah, peace, love, and all that good shit. Until next time, stay rad, don’t take life too seriously, and make sure to have a bloody good time. Cheers, legends!
